Breakfast
If the stars were a bowl of milk,
would we be able to pour in cereal,
and drink the cereal scum?
I think we could.
But we'd need a really big spoon.

Crayola
I wish I could eat crayons
so I could poop different colors,
like my dog.

The Grasshopper
Legs are a lot like ants,
except legs aren't tiny
inscects who work all summer
bringing food into little holes in
the ground for winter.
I guess they're not like ants at all.

Stains
I used to love you.
We used to walk through the park
celebrating life.
I used to love you
until you said you
hated me
and left grass stains
on my heart.
I still love you, though.
But grass stains are pretty hard to remove.
They won't wash out
if you only use tears.

Friendship
A cold November Monday morning
I awoke.
I don't like Mondays,
especially mornings.
So I threw my alarm clock
out the window
and it hit my
best friend on the head
and killed him.
I hate Monday mornings.
What really sucks is
that he still
owed my fifty dollars.

Fire
I sit here on the side of
the road, day after day.
Many people pass by but no one
seems to notice.
I sit rooted here for eternity,
with only the rush of wind
and passing traffic to keep me company.
Oh god, is that a DOG?
NOOOOOOOOO!!
And then, one day, the men
com in their big, red, noisy
trucks, hook me up, and relieve
me of the pressure which
has built up over the years.
And then the excitement passes,
and once again I sit alone,
waiting for the next time.
This is the life of a fire hydrant.

Wine
One day I'm in a field,
basking in the sunlight,
then snatched from my world with
the violent swipe of a hand.
My friends and I are put in a cell,
only a fre more hours to enjoy
that least appreciated, yet most vital
element, life.
Others are piled on top of me,
and then the slaughter begins.
Some cold reddish blood trickles down through the masses,
and the massacre rages on.
